Kenji Kozuma
Attorney
Kenji began his legal career doing defense work at a large downtown firm where he became well versed in the ways of insurance companies by working for them. Personal injury defense – automobile crashes, premises liability (slip/trip and fall), dram shop (over-service by bars and taverns), products liability, medical malpractice, and wrongful death – served as the mainstay of his practice for years, combined also with employment and general city/county counsel work. Kenji learned to defend the cases he now prosecutes for KB Law’s clients, so he knows both the value of these cases and the best ways to unlock that value through negotiation with insurers, or trial if negotiation is unsuccessful.
Also a part-time home remodeler and carpenter, Kenji advocates for commercial and single-family home owners burdened with defective construction problems – leaking buildings, moisture and dry-rot damage – and contractor disputes. His cases are wide-ranging, including new and remodel construction of detached residential housing, townhomes, condominiums, apartments, and hotels. Kenji has the expertise to help achieve a reasonable settlement or work your case up for trial if the insurance company is unwilling to settle.
When not helping injury and construction defect clients achieve fair results, Kenji can be found fly fishing, woodworking, gardening, and wandering the planet with his family.
